While we were living in Mendocino, we adopted two adult Labrador mixes. I would have to say that they rescued us just as much as we rescued them. They became family and initiated my interest in several portraits.

“Bruno”, Watercolor and Chalk Pastel on Arches paper, 30″ x 22″, 2010 Serious and smart, he was the one who found us.
“Woody”, Watercolor and Chalk Pastel on Arches paper, 16″ x 22″, 2020 Woody is a rescued therapy dog and a perfect companion to his Veteran owner.
“Terra”, Watercolor and Chalk Pastel on Arches paper, 22″ x 30″, 2008 A commemorative portrait for close friends with a hint of Van Gogh’s style.

Mission
I make art. The process keeps me grounded and inspires me to explore various techniques. My motivation during the creative process is not the hope of selling my work but more to expand my perception and skillset.
